Moderate Drought (Light tan color on map) covers 6% of Minnesota which is up from 1% one week ago.  Bottom line is that it has been dry lately especially over all but the south half of Minnesota with far northern areas of the state seeing the driest conditions lately.  Drought could worsen in coming weeks if we don't start to get more frequent rainfalls around here.
