Weather Synopsis

Well the weekend is upon us so that must mean another upper level low will affect us, seems to be the trend so far this summer -- Yes, there is another upper level low pressure system which will pass north of Minnesota over the weekend, and this will bring occasional scattered rain showers to northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin through Saturday night, but unlike the last few upper lows, this one won't stick around very long, and should be out of here by Sunday, in fact Sunday looks like a nice summer day, and it should remain dry the way it looks now.

For tonight...Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms through midnight with coverage and intensity of these showers decreasing overnight.  Locally heavy downpours and occasional lightning will be the main threats with the storms this evening with a lower risk for gusty winds and small hail (Around pea size)  Lows ranging from the upper 40s to upper 50s.

Saturday...Partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies.  Rain showers increasing while moving NW-SE across the Northland.  The best chance for rain during the day should remain north of Highway 2, with locations near and south of Highway 2 having a greater chance for some rain either late Saturday afternoon or Saturday evening.  Highs in the 60s and 70s.

Sunday...Mainly dry with some sunshine.  Highs mainly in the 70s.
