Cooler and less humid conditions in the Northland today under partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies. Highs were in the 60s with lower 70s in portions of northwest Wisconsin. Winds were out of the west or northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. There's been a few spotty rain showers today moving through parts of northeast Minnesota but most of us have stayed dry. Note: One rainfall report just northeast of Ely, Minnesota at Winton where 0.14" of rain fell today per CocoRaHs.

Tonight (August 25)
Mostly cloudy skies will become clear to partly cloudy as high pressure builds east into the Upper Midwest while an upper level low/trough exits to the northeast. Low temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s with west winds at 5 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph this evening.
Friday (August 26)
Partly cloudy skies tomorrow with highs mainly in the 70s, winds will be out of the southwest or northwest at 10 to 15 mph. High pressure will move off to the east tomorrow while low pressure approaches the Upper Midwest from the northwest and from the southwest. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected Friday night with lows in the 50s to around 60 degrees, winds will turn to the south or east at 5 to 15 mph.
Saturday (August 27)
Occasional showers are possible on Saturday as a low pressure system moves through the Upper Midwest. High temperatures are expected to be in the 60s to lower 70s with lows in the 50s to around 60 degrees.
Sunday (August 28)
Milder temperatures and a bit more humid on Sunday with highs in the 70s to lower 80s -- Dew points are forecast to be in the 60s. A frontal boundary will drape itself over the northern Plains and Upper Midwest on Sunday with a rather unstable airmass near this front. Showers and thunderstorms could develop at times while moving east/southeast through portions of the Northland on Sunday.
