Impressive rainfall totals on Saturday in parts of the Northland -- Over an inch at International Falls to as much as 2-4" in some locations farther south.

*9:01 PM CDT:  FLASH FLOOD.  Phillips, WI (Price County)  Report of a manhole lifted from water on Depot road in Phillips.

*8:41 PM CDT:  HEAVY RAIN.  1.40".  3 NNW of Butternut, WI (Ashland County)

*7:16 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE.  5 W of Northwoods Beach, WI (Sawyer County)  Large trees down partially blocking Highway 27 near Stone Hill road.

*7:00 PM CDT:  MARINE THUNDERSTORM WIND.  44 mph.  13 NE of Sand Bay, WI (Ashland County)

*6:42 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE.  1 ENE of Shell Lake, WI (Washburn County)  A few 12 inch diameter trees broken approximately 5 feet up.

*6:40 PM CDT:  HEAVY RAIN.  3.00".  3 SSW of Bruno, MN (Pine County)

*5:45 PM CDT:  HEAVY RAIN.  2.25".  6 SW of Finlayson, MN (Pine County)  Rain total in 45 minutes.

*5:27 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE.  6 SW of Finlayson, MN (Pine County)  Several 6-12 inch aspen and 12 inch balsam trees uprooted.

*5:14 PM CDT:  MARINE THUNDERSTORM WIND.  39 mph.  6 SE of Duluth, MN (St. Louis County)  Reported at Sky Harbor Airport.

*5:10 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE.  6 W of Finlayson, MN (Aitkin County)  A few trees downed.

*5:08 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND GUST.  58 mph.  4 SW of Orr, MN (St. Louis County)

*4:27 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE.  3 SSW of Mahtowa, MN (Carlton County)  Three 12 inch diameter maple trees snapped approximately 16 feet up from base.

*4:20 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE.  5 W of Sawyer, MN (Carlton County)  Several 6-12 inch diameter trees broken, numerous 3-5 inch diameter branches littering road.  Road partially blocked.

*3:43 PM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE.  Prentice, WI (Price County)  8 inch diameter pine tree down.  Tree fell on a power line.  Power out in Prentice area.

*3:39 PM CDT:  HEAVY RAIN.  3.25".  Aitkin, MN (Aitkin County)

*3:30 PM CDT:  FLASH FLOOD.  Aitkin, MN (Aitkin County)  Flooding occurred at several locations in the city of Aitkin including on 1st street NW.

*3:15 PM CDT:  HAIL.  1.25" diameter.  Aitkin, MN (Aitkin County)

*2:24 PM CDT:  HAIL.  0.75" diameter.  Crosby, MN (Crow Wing County)

*5:17 AM CDT:  THUNDERSTORM WIND GUST.  52 mph.  International Falls, MN (Koochiching County)

*Minnesota Power reported about 4,400 customers without electricity due to the storms from Saturday afternoon -- The largest outages were in West Duluth and Proctor as well as in the Pengilly, Taconite and Sandstone areas.

*Lake Country Power reported about 5,300 customers without electricity with the largest outages in the Lake Vermilion, Swan River, Jacobson and Kettle River areas.  There were more than 100 separate outages the utility reported
