Weather Tidbits for Duluth, Minnesota - Airport location
*Today is the 3rd consecutive day with a high temperature of at least 32 degrees. Have to go back to December 21-25 to find a longer streak which was 5 days in a row. Will likely break that streak we saw in late December with this current thaw that we are experiencing.
*Today's high temperature of 42 degrees is the warmest temperature of 2015 (So far) and is also the first time at or above 40 degrees since January 23rd.
*8 days so far this year with a high temperature at or above 32F. By this time last year we were at 5 days with a high temperature at or above 32F. Note: Pretty similar up to this point.

A very nice early March day. Low pressure of 1008mb was over Northwest Ontario early This Evening with high pressure of around 1020mb covering the Northern Plains. Partly to mostly cloudy skies were found across the Northland Today with high temperatures in the 30s and 40s. Radar has shown some echoes over parts of the area Today but most of this has been in the form of virga or precipitation that hasn't reached the ground. Winds Today were generally out of the west at 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts.

Short Term Forecast - Confidence: High.
Tonight through Monday Night (March 8-9)
Sky conditions: Generally partly cloudy.
Low temperatures: Mainly in the 20s Tonight and in the upper 20s and 30s Monday Night.
High temperatures: 30s and 40s on Monday, a few locations might make a run at 50!
Winds during this period will be out of the south or southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Low pressure will remain well to our north through Monday Night with any precipitation associated with this system staying north of the border. However, there could be a brief shower of rain or snow This Evening in far Northern Minnesota.

Tuesday through Thursday (March 10-12)
We remain dry from Tuesday-Thursday. A cold front washes out as it drops south out of Ontario with high pressure building in behind this cold front. High temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s during this period with lows Tuesday Night and Wednesday Night in the 20s and 30s. Note: We should see a lake wind develop especially on Wednesday and Thursday, this will likely keep high temperatures around 30 or so closer to Lake Superior.

Near to above average temperatures with no major storms from the 13th-18th. Much of the Northland should see high temperatures at or above 50 degrees on Friday (13th) and possibly again Sunday/Monday (15th-16th)
