Forecast Discussion for Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin:

The weather pattern from Tonight through early next week will be characterized by a fast northwest or west-northwest flow aloft. Several upper level disturbances embedded within this flow will find their way into the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest over the next 5 days. Those systems combined with increasing amounts of moisture and instability will lead to the development of scattered showers or thunderstorms in Northern Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin especially from Friday into Friday Evening, and again on Saturday, and then again sometime during the Sunday-Monday time frame. With favorable winds aloft, there could be a few severe thunderstorms around portions of our local area...Especially by this weekend into next Monday the way it looks now as enough instability and moisture should return north by that time to possibly produce a slightly higher chance for a few severe thunderstorms.

Low temperatures Tonight, Friday Night, Saturday Night and Sunday Night will be in the 50s and 60s with high temperatures in the 60s and 70s on Friday with 70s and 80s this weekend and Monday of next week.

Winds Tonight through Friday Night will be out of the south, west, or east under 20 mph.
