Saturday's high temperature forecast. Source: https://graphical.weather.gov
Note: Warmest temperatures Saturday afternoon will be over western-southern portions of the area where highs will make it into the 70s with cooler (More seasonal temperatures) farther north and also near Lake Superior.
/For the Twin Ports of Duluth and Superior/
*Very nice weather in the Twin Ports the past few days. Daytime highs have reached or slightly exceeded the 70 degree mark 3 of the past 4 days. Keep in mind that average high temperatures at this time of year are mainly in the lower 60s.
*Will continue to have pretty nice weather through Sunday although that pesky lake breeze returns later this evening and will continue for the rest of the weekend, although wind speeds don't look particularly strong until Sunday, in other words the chilliest temperatures will likely occur Sunday with temperatures Saturday although cooler than today (Friday) still not too bad for mid May.
*Lows tonight will be in the lower 40s; Highs Saturday in the lower 60s with 50s near Lake Superior.
...Wind speed/direction across the Northland for tonight and Saturday
Expect southwest, north or east winds at 5 to 15 mph tonight with generally east or southeast winds Saturday at 5 to 15 mph.
Note: Obviously if you plan to be outdoors make sure to use sunscreen as there will be at least some sunshine both Saturday and Sunday.
