Although there are a few chances for rain into Monday nothing heavy is expected here in the Northland through late next week.  The greatest rainfall totals remain centered to the south and east of the Northland through next Friday the way it looks now.

Weather Synopsis for northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin

The month of March couldn't of ended on a nicer note.  Partly to mostly sunny skies across the area today with highs in the 50s but a few locations were within a degree of 60 late this afternoon.  It was cooler closer to Lake Superior with highs in the 40s but the strong east wind of previous days weakened considerably today so the lake cooling wasn't as impressive as it was the last two days.

There will be a few showers passing through the Northland from late tonight through the day Saturday but widespread rains are not expected.  A weak cold front will move through the area which will help to trigger these showers through tomorrow.  Otherwise we're looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight and Saturday.

Lows tonight will mainly be in the 30s but a few locations could drop into the upper 20s.  Highs Saturday mainly in the 50s with near 60 degree temperatures possible in far southern portions of the area while 40s linger in far northeast Minnesota.

Another chance for showers sometime Sunday PM or Monday as a new cold front takes aim at the upper Midwest.

Forecast for Duluth and Superior
