Weather Synopsis:

A windy morning with areas of blowing and drifting snow as last night's clipper moved into eastern Canada. winds decreased this afternoon with partly to mostly sunny skies.  Highs were generally in the teens to around 20 degrees which is pretty close to normal for the final day of December.

*A progressive pattern is in place with the next fast moving disturbance moving through the Northland tonight which will bring a brief period of light snow and flurries to northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.  Lows will be in the single digits and teens with west or southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph.

*Cold front is forecast to be over northern Minnesota Sunday morning, this boundary is then expected to settle further south extending from southwest Minnesota to northern Wisconsin by Sunday night.  Mainly dry tomorrow as 2017 gets underway! Partly to mostly cloudy skies are forecast with highs mainly in the 20s except in far northern Minnesota where highs could remain in the mid/upper teens.  Some snow is forecast to break out Sunday night with lows in the teens and 20s.
