Feeling like fall today. High temperatures were a good 10-20 degrees colder compared to Tuesday with highs today generally in the 40s but northwest Wisconsin made it into the 50s thanks to sunnier skies while northern Minnesota was socked in by clouds. Winds today were out of the west or northwest at 10 to around 20 mph.

.Short Term Forecast...
Tonight (October 19)
High pressure remains off to the west tonight which will keep our area in a cold air advection pattern. 850mb temperatures will range from around 0 to -6 degrees Celsius while low temperatures fall into the 20s and 30s. Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies will cover the area tonight but a trend toward clearer skies should eventually take place during the night. Winds will be out of the west or northwest at 5 to 15 mph.
Thursday (October 20)
High pressure settles over the Upper Midwest. Partly to mostly cloudy skies will continue on Thursday with highs in the 40s with a few southern locations possibly hitting 50 degrees. Lows Thursday night will be in the 20s and 30s. Winds out of the northwest tomorrow at 5 to 15 mph with winds turning light and variable tomorrow night.
Note: There is a chance for a few rain or snow showers tonight and Thursday across northern Minnesota but no snow accumulation is expected. Also, a few lake effect rain showers could develop along the South Shore of Lake Superior in northwest Wisconsin through Thursday evening with -4 degree Celsius H85 temperatures moving over near +10 degree Celsius/50 degree water temperatures over Lake Superior.
Friday and Saturday (October 21-22)
A weak low pressure system will pass through the area Friday and early Saturday, this one might squeeze out a few rain showers but right now this doesn't look to be a widespread or heavy rain event.
High temperatures on Friday are forecast to be in the 40s and 50s with lows Friday night in the 30s and 40s.
Highs on Saturday are expected to be in the 50s, possibly getting into the low 60s in parts of the Northland depending on sky conditions.
