Morning clouds gave way to sunny to partly cloudy skies this afternoon.  Highs today ranged from the 50s in northern Minnesota to the low/mid 60s in east central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.  Winds today were out of the west or southwest at 5 to 15 mph.

.Short Term Forecast...

Tonight (October 18)

There is a cold front across north central Minnesota this afternoon - This boundary will move slowly S/SE tonight.  Partly to mostly cloudy skies will be found in our area and there is a chance for a few spotty rain showers but this shouldn't be a big deal.  Low temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s with southwest or west-northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday (October 19)

Cooler with highs in the 40s to lower 50s which is pretty close to normal for late October.  A cold front will exit northwest Wisconsin tomorrow morning with high pressure then building into the Upper Midwest from the west-northwest.  Clear to partly cloudy skies for Wednesday night with lows in the 20s and 30s.  Winds will be out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Thursday (October 20)

Dry with highs in the 40s, lows Thursday night will be in the 30s, maybe some 20s in the typical cold spots.

Friday and Saturday (October 21-22)

Could be dealing with a few rain showers at some point either on Friday or on Saturday as a low pressure system approaches from the west-northwest.  High temperatures are expected to mainly be in the 40s for Friday and Saturday.
